This project entailed using the Grasshopper program on Rhino as a means to create and design an innovative, futuristic design. We were required to develop renders, diagrams, and orthographic drawings that would clearly explain and tell the story of this design. My design, Eternal Bloom, aids as a source for plantation for the humans that will eventually live in Elon Musk’s future moon structure. It improves their living experience and provides constant nutrition and natural greens. These humans will be able to systematically with the usage of light from Elon’s outer structure. Seeds are planted directly into the glass slots, using strong fertilizers and LED lights to optimize plantation growth, along with lunar soil webs plastic walls for extra protection. Constant growth of a food source will make the living experience for future humans sustainable. Improvement of resources on the moon goes hand-in-hand with human adaptation. This project taught me how to use Grasshopper as a useful media for creating more parametric designs, that can be applied in a new and creative way.
